MAKE AHEAD HOME MADE BISCUIT MIX | |
In large bowl (preferably one with cover) put 6 sifted cups self-rising flour. With pastry blender cut in 1 cup shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Store in pantry until ready to use. This will make biscuits for three separate meals or you can use it for quantity cooking. FOR ONE MEAL: 2 c. mix Approx. 3/4 c. milk FOR THREE MEALS: 6 c. mix 2 1/2 c. milk Bake approximately 10 minutes in hot, 450 degree, oven. This mix will keep in the refrigerator for several weeks. |
