3/4 lg. pkg. Oreo cookies, crushed, frosting & all (reserve a few crumbs for top)
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened but not runny

Butter a 9 x 13 inch cake pan and put crushed cookies in. Carefully drop softened ice cream onto cookie crumbs and carefully spread it then put in freezer.

Combine: 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 2 sq. chocolate (semi-sweet)

Boil together for 15 minutes, continuously stirring. At first it will look terrible but it will thicken at the end of cooking. COOL COMPLETELY! Spread mixture on top of ice cream. Put back into freezer. When completely froze, spread 1 large Cool Whip over chocolate and then sprinkle on the reserved crumbs. Freeze. Take out a few minutes before serving.
