GRANDMA MARY'S STAINED GLASS
CANDY
 
2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. water

Cook to hard crack stage. Remember after it boils--no stirring! When it reaches hard crack stage, remove from stove then add green food coloring and mint flavoring or red food coloring and anise flavoring or yellow food coloring and lemon flavoring. Just shake pan to get flavoring all through it. Pour into buttered pie tin. Cool. Break into pieces.
