GRANDMA'S SHOO-FLY PIE 
1 recipe plain pastry (2 crusts)
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. hot water
1/2 c. molasses

Line two pie pans with pastry. Make crumbs by combining flour, sugar, salt and butter. Dissolve soda in hot water, then combine with molasses. Add 3/4 of the crumbs. Pour into pastry-lined pans and top with remaining crumbs. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 20 to 30 minutes or until firm.
