WALDORF ASTORIA STEW 
2 lb. lean stew meat
1 c. celery, cut in 1 inch pieces
3 carrots, cut in 1 inch pieces
3-4 sm. onions
2 potatoes, quartered
1 slice of bread, cubed
1 tbsp. tapioca
1 tbsp. sugar
1 (#2) can tomatoes, cut up
2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Combine all ingredients; place in heavy pan. Cover with lid or heavy duty foil. Bake in 250 degree oven for 5 hours.
