HOBO BREAD 
2 c. raisins
2 c. boiling water
4 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
2 c. sugar (1 1/2 c. is O.K.)
1/4 c. oil
1/2 tsp. salt

Put raisins in large dish with the boiling water and soda. Stir and cover tightly. Let set in counter overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Oil and flour 3 (1 pound) coffee cans. Add the oil over the raisin mixture. Combine flour, sugar, and salt and sift over the oil and raisins. Fill cans 2/3 full and bake 70 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before removing.
