GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
18 sm. potatoes
3 slices bacon, cut in cubes
1 rounded tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. vinegar
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 sm. onion

Cook potatoes until soft. Peel and slice. Add sliced onion. Fry bacon until golden brown. Remove from pan. To the bacon fat, add the butter and flour. Stir and add vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and pepper. Let come to a boil and pour over potatoes. Sprinkle bacon cubes on top. Serves 4 to 6.
