GINGER SNAPS 
1 c. sugar
1 c. lard (home rendered)
1 c. molasses
1 egg
3/4 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda (mix with molasses) 1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour (about)

Mix well. Roll in balls the size of walnuts. Dip in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees, 10 to 15 minutes. Very good.
