SALLY ANN COOKIES 
1 c. Crisco
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. molasses
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot coffee
5 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Mix all the ingredients together, chill, roll as for ice box cookies, chill again, cut 1/4" thick and place on baking sheet.

Bake 375 degrees 6-8 minutes. They burn easy.

Frosting:
1 pkg. Knox gelatin
1 c. sugar
1 c. warm water
2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix and bring to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes. Pour over 2 cups powdered sugar and beat on high until hard and thick, add salt and vanilla. Spread on the flat side of the cookie and let dry for 4 hours.
