7 UP POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter, softened
1/2 c. crisco
5 eggs (room temperature)
3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 scant c. chilled 7 up

Cream sugar, butter and shortening. Add eggs one at a time and continue beating. Add flour gradually. Add vanilla and lemon flavoring. Last, slowly add 7 up. Pour into greased and floured tube or bundt pan.

Bake at 325°F for approximately one hour, five minutes. Let cool for 20 minutes before removing from pan.
