OVEN FRIED CHICKEN | |
1 c. flour 2 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (2 1/2 - 3 lb.) broiler fryer, cut up & skinned 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. butter, melted HONEY BUTTER SAUCE: 1/4 c. butter, melted 1/4 c. lemon juice 1/2 c. honey Combine flour, paprika, salt and pepper, stirring well. Dredge chicken in flour mix; set aside. Pour butter into 13"x9"x2" pan. Place chicken in pan, turning to coat with butter. Cover and bake meaty side down at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn chicken and pour honey sauce over it. Bake, uncovered 25 to 30 minutes, basting occasionally. SAUCE: Combine all ingredients and beat well. Yield: about 3/4 cup. |
