CRUNCHY COCONUT COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. coconut
1 1/2 c. bran flakes

Cream butter and sugars gradually. Cream well. Beat in egg. Add dry ingredients. Blend well.

Shape into balls, place on ungreased baking sheet. Press down with a fork that has been moistened.

Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Yield: 3 dozen.
