CAROLE'S CHICKEN PILAF 
3 slices bacon, sliced in 1 inch pieces
1 onion, chopped
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 c. uncooked rice
13 3/4 oz. chicken broth
1 (4 1/2 oz.) can mushrooms, undrained
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. sage
1 1/2 c. diced cooked chicken

Fry bacon, take bacon out of pan and in the drippings saute onion and celery. Add rice and cook, stirring constantly, 3 minutes. Stir in broth, mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, basil, and sage. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered 12 minutes. Add chicken and simmer, covered, another 10 minutes. Add bacon before serving.
