2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. buttermilk
2/3 c. cola beverage
1 egg
2 egg yolks

Sift together flour, soda, salt, sugar and cocoa in large bowl. Add shortening, buttermilk and cola. Beat for 1 1/2 minutes at low speed. Blend in the eggs and beat for 1 1/2 minutes more.

Pour into two well greased and floured 8 inch round pans 1 1/4 inches deep or a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and frost.
