LAZY DAY SWISS STEAK (LOWFAT) 
1 lb. lean round steak, floured
1 tsp. oil
1 quartered med. onion
4 sm. carrots, cut in 2-inch lengths
1 c. stewed tomatoes
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt (or less)
1 bay leaf, crushed
1 clove crushed garlic

Press flour into both sides of meat, pound with a plate or mallet. Heat oil in non-stick frying pan and brown meat well. Add onion, carrots, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic and bay leaf. Cover, simmer on low 45 to 50 minutes. Turn meat over half way or cover and bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours in casserole.

Can be prepared ahead of time and placed in a covered casserole, if you have a self-timing oven. Set it to start cooking 1 hour before you come home. Serves 4.
