BOSTON BROWN BREAD 
1 c. flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. raisins
1 egg
1 c. molasses
3/4 c. buttermilk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a loaf pan. Blend dry ingredients together. Beat egg in a separate bowl. Add molasses and buttermilk. Add dry ingredients and raisins.

Pour into loaf pan. Bake 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in crusty portion of center comes out clean.
