3/4 c. unbeaten egg whites
1 2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. flour
3/4 c. blanched almonds
1/2 tsp. lemon juice

Combine egg whites, sugar and salt. Beat in butter, flour, almonds and lemon juice. Drop by a tablespoon well apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees or until edges are 1/4 inch brown. Fold over tablespoon then pinch in middle of fold. Makes 5 dozen.
