GOLD AND SILVER CAKE 
WHITE PART:

6 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar, sifted
1/2 c. cake flour, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix white part as angel food. Bake in 9-inch layer pan.

Bake at 350°F.

GOLD PART:

6 egg yolks
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 c. boiled milk
1 1/2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg yolks until stiff; add sugar and beat. Gradually add milk and sifted flour. Mix baking soda and cream of tartar slowly. Put in 2 (9 inch) layer pans.

Bake at 325°F.

FILLING:

2 c. sweet cream
2 beaten eggs
6 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla

Bring cream to a boil and add egg, sugar and cornstarch mixture. Boil until pudding consistency. Put between layers and top of cake. Very, very good!
