ITALIAN WINE BISCUITS 
1 c. red wine
1 c. sugar
1 c. salad oil
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4-5 c. sifted flour

Mix wine, sugar, oil, baking powder and salt. Add flour gradually to make a moist dough. Roll and shape. Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes. Do not open oven door for the first 15 minutes. These may be shaped into balls the size of a walnut, rings or twisted into pretzel shape. Brush tops with beaten egg for color.
