1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
6 tbsp. melted shortening (melt in cake pan)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cold water

Mix and bake at 350 degrees approximately 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. milk
Pinch salt

Cook until thick, let cool before adding the following: 1/4 c. butter 1/4 c. shortening 1 tsp. vanilla

Beat until smooth.
