PECAN BALLS 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 c. candied cherries, chopped
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Powdered sugar

Cream butter; add sugar gradually. Add flour, chopped cherries and pecans, water and vanilla; mix thoroughly. Shape into balls, place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 275 degrees about 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Roll in powdered sugar; cool and roll again in sugar.
