BEN FRANKLIN PECAN CAKE | |
1 lb. butter 6 eggs 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 lb. candied cherries (mix red & green) 1 lb. chopped pecans 2 c. sugar 4 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 lb. candied pineapple 2 tsp. vanilla Cream butter and sugar; add beaten eggs all at once; add 3 cups flour, sifted with baking powder and salt; dredge candied fruit and pecans with remaining flour and add to mixture; add vanilla and mix thoroughly. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 250 degrees for 3 hours. Cool in pan completely before removing. |
