BEST EVER POUND CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour (sift before measuring)
5 eggs
2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients together. Cream sugar, shortening, butter, vanilla and lemon juice very well. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Add flour mixture alternately with milk; mix well. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 30 minutes or until done. Do not open oven for the first hour.
