CRISCO'S MAPLE FROSTING 
3 c. confectioners sugar (sift if lumpy)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. maple blend syrup
1/4 c. Crisco
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk

Mix confectioners sugar and salt. Blend in syrup. Add shortening, vanilla and milk, mixing until smooth and creamy. Add more sugar to thicken or milk to thin frosting, if needed for good spreading consistency. Frosts two 8 or 9 inch layers or 13 x 9 inch cake. Excellent on Duncan Hines spice cake.
