CARAMEL FROSTING 
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. white syrup
1/3 c. sweet milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 2/3 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. Crisco
2 tbsp. hot milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook sugar, syrup, milk and salt together until forms a soft ball. Have ready in mixing bowl powdered sugar, Crisco, hot milk and vanilla, already mixed. Add hot mixture and beat until thick. Spread on jam cake.
