CANDIED PECANS 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cold water
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 lb. pecan halves

Simmer all ingredients except pecans for 4 minutes. Add pecans. Stir and cook until mixture spins a thread from spoon. Remove from heat. Stir until nuts are well covered. Turn onto waxed paper and separate to cool. Store in an airtight container.
