MEAT WITH SOUR GRAVY 
1 lb. beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. Crisco
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. bread crumbs
1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar

Cut meat in serving pieces and pound it. Melt Crisco in pan and add meat. Season with salt, pepper and onions. Add water. Cover pan and let simmer 1 hour. Dampen bread crumbs with vinegar. Add to meat and simmer 5 more minutes. Serves 6.
