PEANUT BUTTER CRINKLES 
1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Sugar
Nuts, chocolate kisses, jam or jelly

Mix first 6 ingredients at medium mixer speed until fluffy. At low speed beat in next 4 ingredients. Shape into 1 inch balls; roll into sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until browned. Immediately press nuts or kisses into cookies, or press with thumb and fill with jam. Cool. Store in airtight container. Makes 6 dozen. Bake up to 1 week ahead.
