BANANA NUT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. creamed butter
2 eggs, separated
4 tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
3 sm. mashed bananas
1/4 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix buttermilk and mashed bananas and set aside. Mix dry ingredients. Beat egg whites stiff and combine with buttermilk, bananas and dry ingredients. Place mixture in greased and floured layer cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

BANANA NUT ICING:

1/4 c. butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 mashed banana
1 1/2 c. pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together everything but pecans. Ice Banana Nut Cake and sprinkle pecans on top.
