MOTHER MABEL'S FROZEN CABBAGE
"COLE SLAW"
 
1 med. head cabbage, chopped or shredded
1 tsp. salt
3 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed

Mix liquids, celery and mustard seeds, boil 1 minute. Sprinkle salt over cabbage and let stand 1 hour. Squeeze out excess liquid. Mix cabbage, celery and green pepper. Pour cooled liquid over cabbage mixture. Put in containers and freeze.
