MOM'S CREAM CHEESE COOKIES 
1/2 lb. cream cheese
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Work cream cheese and butter until soft. Add flour and vanilla. Work with fingers until you get a soft dough. Turn out on to table and roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into 2 inch squares. Add prune or apricot filling. Pinch opposite corners. Bake at 400 degrees 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
