OYSTER STEW 
1 qt. oysters
2 qt. milk (8 c.)
1 can evaporated milk
2 tbsp. flour
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. paprika
Pinch of curry powder
Salt to taste

Heat both types of milk. Do not boil. In frying pan, melt 1/2 stick butter and add flour, stirring constantly, add small amounts of milk until gravy like.

Pour and stir into milk. Clean fry pan. Melt remaining 1/2 stick butter. Add oysters. Cook and stir until edges curl. Add to milk, flour, butter mixture. Stir in paprika, curry powder and salt. Keep at low heat. Makes 1 gallon.
