LEMON SQUARES 
2 sticks butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. sugar
1 lg. Cool Whip
2 c. flour
3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3 (3 oz.) boxes lemon pie filling (not instant) or 1 can lemon Thank You brand filling, if preferred

Combine butter, flour, 2 tablespoons sugar and make into pie crust. Pat into cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes; cool.

Let cream cheese set at room temperature. Cream 1 cup sugar and cream cheese well and pour on cooled crust.

Cook pie filling, following directions or use Thank You brand pie filling. Cool pie filling. Pour over cream cheese mixture. Spread Cool Whip over lemon for topping and add chopped walnuts if desired. Store in refrigerator.
