CRANBERRY REFRIGERATOR DESSERT 
2 c. (1/2 lb.) fresh cranberries
1 lg. banana (diced, 1 c.)
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
6 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. whipping cream

Grind cranberries. Combine with banana and sugar; set aside.

Combine wafer crumbs and melted butter. Press half the crumb mixture in bottom of 9"x9"x2" pan.

Cream 1/2 cup butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Fold in chopped nuts. Spread over crumb layer. Top with cranberry mixture. Whip the whipping cream just until soft peaks form, spread over all. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Press down slightly. Chill 6 hours or overnight. Serves 12.
