2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. shortening 1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. confectioners sugar 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond extract 1/2 c. nuts Confectioners sugar Sift together flour and salt. Cream shortening and butter with confectioners sugar. Mix flour with shortening mixture. Blend in vanilla, almond extract and nuts. Form into very small balls. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet on slow oven of 325 degrees for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Roll in confectioners sugar while still warm. For a prettier cookie, roll in confectioners sugar again after they are cool. |
