1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 bag chocolate kisses or stars

Cream shortening, sugar, egg and peanut butter. Add milk and dry ingredients alternately. Add vanilla. Drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove; place chocolate kisses on cookies. Press down so cookie cracks. Bake 2 to 4 minutes longer.
