PEANUT BUTTER BALLS | |
1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter 1 box plus 1 c. powdered sugar 2 sticks butter TOPPING: 7.5 oz. Hershey's chocolate bar 1/2 cake paraffin Cream peanut butter, butter and sugar together in a large bowl. Mixture will be very stiff. For topping, heat chocolate and paraffin in a double boiler. Roll dough into balls and dip into chocolate mixture by using the tines of a fork to keep too much chocolate from coating. Place on wax paper to cool and firm. Can substitute: pecans for peanut butter (finely chopped). if pecans are used, you may have to add a little milk (2 tablespoons) to get it to roll, also coconut may be used. Can substitute chocolate bar with butterscotch. |
