1 bowl cut up okra
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper

Mix until all the okra is coated. Drop by the pieces into deep hot Crisco and fry until brown.

NOTE: Cook as you would French fries.
