NANAIMO BARS 
1/2 c. butter
5 tbsp. white sugar
5 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 c. fine coconut
1/2 c. crushed walnuts
2 c. finely crushed graham crackers
1 lg. egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla

ICING:

4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. vanilla custard powder
3 tbsp. milk
2 c. icing sugar

TOPPING:

3 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
1 tbsp. butter

Cream butter, sugar, cocoa, vanilla, and beaten egg. Place in double boiler; stir until melted and like custard. Mix graham cracker with coconut and nuts. Add to cocoa mixture and mix well. Press into greased 9 inch square pan and chill. Spread with icing after creamed. Allow to set. Dribble with 3 squares of melted semi-sweet chocolate mixed with 1 tablespoon butter. Spread with spatula over creamy layer of icing and refrigerate.
