BANANA SOUR CREAM CAKE 
1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. mashed bananas
1 c. sour cream (plain yogurt can be used)
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream, bananas, vanilla; mix well.

Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and add to creamed mixture. Add nuts last.

Bake in greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 1/2 pan at 325°F for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 300°F for 45 minutes or until done. For tube pan, bake at 350°F for 50 minutes or until done. Better after a day or two.
