CARAMEL - NUT BROWNIES 
1 Pillsbury German Chocolate Cake mix
1 egg
1/4 lb. butter, melted

Mix these 3 ingredients together and reserve 1 cup of mixture. Press the remainder in a 9 x 12 inch cake pan, buttered. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. 1/2 c. milk 1 (14 or 16 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels

Melt caramels and butter in milk. Spread over top of baked mix.

Spread 1 cup pecans or walnuts over top of caramel mixture on the baked mix. Crumble the cup of reserved cake mixture over the top of the nuts. Put back in oven for 25-30 minutes.

Cut in small serving pieces and serve after cooling. Serves 18.
