KANSAS DIRT CAKE 
1 lg. pkg. chocolate sandwich cookies
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 (12 oz.) carton whipped topping
2 (3 1/2 oz.) pkgs. instant vanilla pudding (or French vanilla)
3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Crush cookies (not too fine) and put 1/2 of crumbs in 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix cream cheese and butter until smooth, with electric mixer. Mix in powdered sugar. Fold in topping.

In separate bowl mix pudding, milk and vanilla. Fold cream cheese mixture into pudding and pour onto cookie crumbs. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Freeze. Take out for a few minutes before serving. You can vary the recipe by using mint-chocolate sandwich cookies.
