CONGO BARS 
1 box light brown sugar
1 1/3 sticks butter
2 eggs
Dash of salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. water
2 3/4 c. flour
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, add eggs and stir to blend. Add salt, soda, vanilla, water and blend. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Stir in flour, only until blended.

Bake in greased 9 x 13 inch pan at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes until set and dry looking - NOT brown.
