CHOW MEIN CASSEROLE | |
1 1/4 c. boiling water 1/2 c. uncooked regular rice 1 lb. ground beef 3/4 c. chopped celery 3 tbsp. instant minced onion 1 can chicken with rice soup 1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. butter Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix water and rice; cover and set aside. Cook and stir ground beef, celery and onion until tender. Drain fat. Mix all ingredients. Pour into greased 2-quart casserole. Cover tightly; bake 30 minutes. Uncover, stir and bake 30 minutes more. Serve over chow mein noodles with additional soy sauce. |
