3 chicken breasts 1 lb. Owen sausage 1 lb. link sausage 3 ribs celery 1 or 2 bunches green onions 1 box UNCLE BEN'S® long grain/brown rice 1 c. reg. rice Cayenne pepper Salt and pepper to taste 4 1/2 c. water Boil chicken with some of celery and green onions until done (about 20 minutes). While chicken is cooking, cut up link sausage and then brown with Owens sausage and rest of celery and onions. Drain meat. Cut up chicken and add to sausage. Add seasonings, including that in the UNCLE BEN'S® box. Add water (part of chicken broth can be used in place of an equal part of water). Add both rice's and cook according to instructions on UNCLE BEN'S® box. Serve with garlic bread. |
