SWEET HEART COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 1/2 c. chopped roasted peanuts or other nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy. In another bowl mix flour and soda. Add oats and toss together. Add to first mixture one cup at a time until completely mixed. Stir in nuts and chips. Batter will be stiff. Drop by teaspoonful on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Yield: 6 dozen.
