PEPPER STEAK 
1/4 c. oil
1 clove garlic
2 lbs. steak (beef or venison, cut in narrow strips)
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 c. green pepper, cut in narrow strips
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. stock (bouillon)
1 tbsp. soy sauce
Cooked rice
Salt & pepper

Cook garlic in oil about 3 minutes, remove garlic. Brown meat in oil. Add salt, pepper and ginger and cook 3 more minutes. Add onions and peppers. Mix cornstarch with stock and soy sauce, add to meat mixture, stirring constantly until thickened. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours until done. Serve over hot cooked rice. Serves 6 to 8.
