1 c. butter 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/4 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. finely chopped nuts 1 box confectioners' sugar Mix together butter, sugar and vanilla. Blend in flour and salt, mix in nuts. Chill dough. Roll in 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in oven at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until set but not brown. In blender add food coloring to portion of confectioners' sugar. Make several colors. While still warm, roll in colored sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again. Makes about 4 dozen 1 inch cookies. |
