CARAMEL PIE 
2 c. milk
2 well beaten eggs
3/4 c. white sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Mix together as for a custard, set aside.

Put into a skillet:

2 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. brown sugar

Cook this until the sugar is a darker brown. Stir continually. Now add the custard mixture all at once. The sugar will harden. Turn fire very low and stir until the sugar is all dissolved. Bring to a boil. Pour into a previously baked pie crust. Add meringue if desired.
