MELT IN YOUR MOUTH SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Sugar
Nutmeg

Cream butter, sugars and oil together in a large mixing bowl, add eggs. Beat until smooth. Add flour, salt, cream of tartar, soda and vanilla. Mix well. Refrigerate the dough overnight. Form into walnut size balls. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten cookies with a glass dipped in sugar and nutmeg. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: about 5 dozen.
